About the Instructor
Scott Horscroft is an acclaimed music producer, recording engineer, mix engineer, studio owner, and A&R professional whose career spans more than three decades. Beginning in experimental sound and immersive installation art, a creative philosophy that continues to shape his productions today.
As owner of The Grove Studios, Scott has built one of Australia’s most respected recording environments — a creative retreat where artists can focus entirely on their craft. Across his career he has collaborated with a remarkable range of artists, including:
Silverchair, The Presets, The Sleepy Jackson, Empire of the Sun, Mia Wray, Birds of Tokyo, Alison Wonderland, DMA's, Paul Kelly, Don West, Tkay Maidza, Dan Sultan, Tori Forsyth
Beyond producing records, Scott has played a significant role in artist development through A&R and mentoring. Through The Grove Studios Academy, he continues to guide emerging producers, engineers, and artists — passing on real-world knowledge gained from decades inside professional studios and record labels.
